Abass Baraou & Sophie Alisch return to the ring in London TONIGHT!

Tonight is a big night for Germany’s boxing talent Abass Baraou as he returns back to action. The 30-year-old junior middleweight will fight against Ferenc Katona in the renowned York Hall in London in an eight round battle. If Baraou wins, he will fight the unbeaten Frenchman Milan Prat for the European Championship.

For Sophie Alisch, a lot is also at stake today. The featherweight will face the experienced British Gemma Ruegg in her ninth professional fight – a victory would mean a world title eliminator fight for the 21-year-old Alisch, who was recently awarded the HERQUEL-Award for Germany’s „Boxer of the Year“.

The Wasserman Boxing Fight Night from London will be aired live and exclusively in Germany on DAZN starting at 9 p.m. In the main event, the undefeated British Harlem Eubank, cousin of former world champion Chris Eubank jr., will fight the tough Argentinian Miguel Antin. This duel is set to ten rounds in the super lightweight division.

„I want to secure an impressive victory on Friday – and then immediately head back to the gym“, says Abass Baraou. „Then the preparation for the European Championship will start.“ Promoter Kalle Sauerland, Global Head of Boxing at Wasserman, adds: „With Abass Baraou and Sophie Alisch, two of Germany’s biggest hopes will enter the ring in London. Excitement is guaranteed, as a victory is compulsory for both of them. Abass stands in front of a European Championship, and for Sophie we are currently working on a world title eliminator fight which should take place later this year.“

Boxing fans in Germany can follow the Fight Night from London live and exclusively on DAZN. „We have a long-term partnership with DAZN and we are also looking forward to our first event in Germany“, says Kalle Sauerland. „We are very happy that fans all over the world can follow our boxing shows on DAZN live. Last week, the fans in Germany could already see the strong victory of Denis Radovan, today it continues with Abass and Sophie. I can only recommend to all fans to switch to DAZN tonight – great and thrilling fights will be offered!“
