Firat Arslan back in action on May 27 in Germany

In just over two and a half weeks, the second boxing event of the Magdeburg promotion Fides Sports will take place in Villingen-Schwenningen! For the first time, promoter Burim Sylejmani will host an event in Germany, after the last gala in Kosovo was a complete success. In addition to the former super middleweight world champion Tyron Zeuge, Ardian Krasniqi has also been announced as a boxer for the event. Now Sylejmani is making another big move and signs another former great of the sport! None other than the former cruiserweight world champion Firat Arslan will grace the Helios Arena on May 27th!

Firat Arslan on the opportunity that fortunately came his way: “My last fight was on December 17th. On May 20th, my farewell gala with a big fight was supposed to take place. Due to the severe earthquake in Turkey in early February, my wife Dilek and I did not want to deal with the organization of a big event while we were all in deep mourning. Now we have postponed this event to October 21st. Now, however, I have to fight another match beforehand, otherwise there would be a ten-month break before my last and perhaps most important fight of my 34-year career.”

“Together with my manager Denis Cristobal Serrano Gemici, who is in the process of arranging another big fight for the end of October, we decided that the Helios Arena is the right stage for our test match,” said the 52-year-old exemplary athlete Arslan. “With a great boxer like Tyron Zeuge, who was also a WBA champion like me, two former world champions are in the ring. Ardian Krasniqi, the very talented nephew of heavyweight legend Luan Krasniqi, will also box, and the audience can look forward to more promising talents!”

The fight contract with Firat Arslan’s opponent has not yet been signed. “As soon as the ink is dry, we will inform boxing fans which fighter will challenge Firat Arslan. I am very pleased that we were able to sign such a legend of the sport for our event!”, added promoter Burim Sylejmani.
